Hi

Turns out I can login fine if I'm logging in from anyplace other than the
server itself.

Thanks for your attention.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Managing Services - Login Problem

Hi

It's been awhile since I had to do anything that affected our Imail
Services. Today, when I tried to login to make some adjustments to the SMTP
service, as usual I was prompted for a login. Unlike in the past, this time
it didn't work. I couldn't login. I could use some help in figuring out
why.

We're running 2006.2 on Windows 2003. Not using Active Directory. I
believe the last time I logged in successfully we were running 2006.1.

I log into iadmin successfully, using my Imail administrator account.

I then select Services | SMTP, it prompts me (as usual) for my Windows
account. It prefills with machinename/username. I enter my username /
password (not the prefilled name) and it doesn't like me. A couple of
tries, and then it stops letting me attempt to login.

It's the same username that I logged onto the server with using Remote
Desktop. The username is not preceded by machine name / domain name, or
anything. I have tried to use the prefilled name, but that didn't work
either.

What am I missing / doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.
