I spent over an hour on the phone with Ipswitch re: this issue. I remember someone saying a while back that in order to place the "user" directory on a different volume, you only needed to change the registry setting in Global settings. Doesn't work...
I called Ipswitch and after futzing around for a bit, getting dialtone in the middle of the conversation and having the technician WEBEX onto my server... I was told that the "top directory" would also have to be changed to reflect the same volume that I moved the "users" directory to. I told him I thought this wasn't going to work properly and he assured me that it would...
Everything looked fine from the administrative console. When I finally logged on as a user, predictably, it didn't work.
If there's anything specific about this out in the archives, I couldn't find it. After spending over 1/2 hour doing that and well over an hour with Ipswitch support, if the answer IS in the archives somewhere... please be kind enough not to shove my face in it... I'm already whipped...
Bottom line... Is it possible to change the location of the user directory in Imail 2006.2 in midstream?
Thanx for any help...
