My organization recently switched from GroupWise to IMail 2006.2. Let me start
by saying I absolutely love the simplicity of the management as well as the end
user side to IMail. Very clean and easy to use.

Now for the feature requests/suggestions:

1. The ability to import(and export) a CSV into(from) your address book. This
was a major growing pain for us. Users had to manually re-enter all of their
contacts. We got through it, but to this day it would be a wonderful feature.

2. A "real" easily manage "Global Address List"... not a flat text file that
needs to be edited every time you make a change. Couldn't this just be read
from the user DB, or if you are using Active Directory then why can't it be
read the same way the users are (LDAP)?

3. A way to have mailing lists without having to utilize the list serv... or an
easier way to manage... (i.e. auto deletion from the list if the user is
deleted). Why can't this also utilize LDAP?

4. The ability to "share" a contact or group of contacts with another user.

5. The ability to "share" your inbox (read only, or write) with another user
(good for supervisors/secretaries)

6. Redesign the calandar...

I know some of these features are available in IMail Premium, however... you
are talking about a $3500 difference for some other extras we don't need. We
don't need anti virus or anti spam, and we don't need the ability to synch with
outlook (it would be nice, but not necessary). If there are ways to do these
things that I am missing please let me know. Otherwise, please do not take this
as me being a troll... I am simply giving some constructive criticism. I do
know after looking around a bit... atmail offers a web server with all of this
functionality for approx. $700 and Zimbra (doesn't run on Windows) is also
comparable...

Thank you for creating such a wonderful software package... I just think it
needs a few tweaks.
