More information:
Currently what we're testing is having the gateway authenticate the
user for each domain in order to keep the number of invalid users
from trying to validate with the Imail server. We want to forward
the user/pass to Maia Mailguard so the users can tailor their own
filtering. Currently in our test environment we're using
imailusers.exe to generate a list that we forward to the gateway
every 10 minutes to update with new user accounts.
Know of a better/easier way?

I opened up port 587 for AUTH users and they hit the IMail box
directly. No need for the gateway to have passwords.
I can tell you how to make Linux CHANGE the 587's to 25 as they pass
through, tho. If the gateway is nearby, that is.

Subject: [IMail Forum] gateway
We're planning on putting up a Linux based gateway and was wondering
what y'all are using and how you pass your user and password list to
the gateway for authentication.
Thanks
