Hi,

We're in the early stages of upgrading from 7.15 to 2006.2 and I've noticed a
funny thing about the IMAP connection. It is almost standard for the
connection to the server to time-out, but I can't find a reason for this. The
server isn't busy, and I can't see any reason for delays.

Typically, if my Outlook Express has been sitting open for a while, I might hit
F5 to refresh. The hourglass will appear for a long while, and then I get a
time-out message. If I hit OK and then refresh again, the system will update
itself instantly. Alternatively, once I see that hourglass, I can hit the
Escape key to stop the wait, click to any other folder besides the InBox (the
other folders update quickly), and then click back to the InBox.

The problem with a time-out used to occur with 7.15 sometimes, but it seems
much more common with 2006.2. Any idea what's going on? Or how to test this
further?

Thanks,

Ben
