XCOPY /? says /O copies file ownership and ACL information.

The sharing info is stored in the registry:
HKLM\Service\CCS\Services\lanmanserver\shares.

I haven't tried it, but I figure you can export/import the key then
stop/start the Server service.

Robocopy - not sure if it can do shares, but permissions for sure.

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: Share and file permission copying software

Morning,
Does anyone have a recommendation for some software that is going to copy
files on one of my fileservers to a new server, along with all the
permissions and security in place?
Thanks,
Sharyn
