Yes. Search the KB and archives for "store and forward" and/or "mail gateway".
We do this for customers for which we provide spam/virus filtering services by setting up a subdomain for the exchange server, e.g exchange.example.com, and putting the hostname/IP in the server's hosts file. Then all email accounts and aliases have forwarding in place to go to the subdomain. So mail that comes in for [EMAIL PROTECTED] gets forwarded to [EMAIL PROTECTED] This has also proven beneficial when customers' exchange servers are down, allowing them to temporarily remove the forwarding and pick up their email from us instead. There are other ways to accomplish this, but this has worked well for us. There are many reasons for them to retain you as a gateway. A few are - Many local ISP networks are listed on blacklists, so they may have difficulty sending mail directly from their exchange server to some domains. - They may have difficulty establishing Reverse DNS for the exchange server with the local ISP. Sending outbound through you relies on your REVDNS instead. - Exposing the exchange server to the internet results in increased risk of intrusion to their local network. If you are gatewaying for them, then they can lock down the exchange server to only allow traffic from your IP(s). One of my customers is moving to exchange. While this is being set up, can I have all mail going to the Imail server forward copies to the new exchange server?
