I'm setting up IMail as our new Mail-Server, and have problems to send
and receive mails trough the new Mail-Server.
Using the WEB-Messaging interface the following functions:
- sending Mails to testuser on the new Mail-Server (internal)
- sending Mails to addresses on the old Mail-Server or to external
addresses
- Receiving Mails from external does not function.
The sender gets the following message back:
Final-Recipient: RFC822; [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Action: failed
Status: 5.1.1
Remote-MTA: DNS; smtp.ntc.ch
Diagnostic-Code: SMTP; 550 unknown user <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
- Sending Mails through the new IMail-Server does not function, and
receiving Mails from the POP3 Account does not function (Using Netscape
Communication 4.6 german Version)
I'm asked for the user name and password. Also giving the correct user
name 'stg#ntc.ch' (the '#'-Sign because of using virtual hostst without
IP-Adresses; I configured the regsitry entry for HostDelimiters) and
password, I can't send or receive mails.
In the IMail Administrator 'relaying for local user' is checked, and
'Disable SMTP AUTH reporting' is NOT checked.
I have setup a virtual host without IP-Addresses, the name is 'ntc.ch'
and there are 2 users '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' and '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'
