Thanks! That's a good start. Maybe if they can tell me the error I can figure out the POP problem.

Another question if I may. Is it possible to have an alias for our email domain? We have this very long domain name which everyone complains about, so I'm looking for an easy way to set up a short domain name and have it as an alias for the long one. Surely I can set an alias somewhere such that emails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and emails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] both go to my users. Can it be done in IMail? If not, would I have to have it done on the DNS server? (We don't have our own DNS server.) Both?

Any ideas will be appreciated.

~Susan

I use my iPhone just fine for IMAP and POP3, the web interface will not
work. The version of Safari on the iPhone is very minimal and does not
support most Java, Flash, ActiveX and so on. You will need to load some
minimalistic set of templates when they become available for use.

Subject: [IMail Forum] IMail and IPhones

I have a few teachers and admin who are trying to get their email on their IPhones. Apparently they can use the IPhone's Safari browser to login to Web Messaging and they can see their accounts and latest email message, but can't select and open other messages and can't use the buttons (New, Delete, Reply, etc). I don't have an IPhone so I don't really know how to describe the problem.

I'm also told that they've tried to configure the IPhone's mail client to access the IMail server and they can't do that either. (Although I haven't gotten them to write down the error message and let me know what it says!) Has anyone else tested this? Do we know whether it works or not? If it does, please tell me how to configure either IMail or the IPhone to be compatible with each other.

Thanks,

~Susan
