If you run an older Imail, your firewall can do this too.
I have
iptables -t nat I PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport submission /
-d 74.254.46.133 -j DNAT --to-destination 172.30.0.5:25
in my firewall to route all 587 traffic to my IMail server, redirected to
port 25 (for version 8.15). Since I don't relay for any public addresses,
Imail forces authentication. Works a treat!
If you have internal, roaming laptops on a wireless network, and want them
to run the same SMTP configuration inside as outside, stick a Microsoft SMTP
daemon on some underutilized server listening on 587 and smarthosting to
Imail (on a RELAY-FOR IP inside the firewall), and Bob's your uncle!

Subject: [IMail Forum] Multiple listening Ports in Imail
Is it possible to have an additional port, besides 25, listening? If so How
would I configure it?
Thanks,
Kevin
