Hi

A reboot would probably sort this out. If you don't want to do a full
restart then try stopping the SMTP and Queue Manager services and then
deleting it. This has happened me before when a user has been in the middle
of trying to download a huge mail and the file gets locked.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Access denied when trying to delete a user mailbox

Hi,

I have a user that seems to have a corrupted email account. Not sure exactly
what is corrupted but he is unable to receive mail, even in webmail.

I am attempting to delete his account and recreate it. When I try to delete
it, Im getting a message that says ERROR MESSAGE, permission denied. I am
logged on as the administrator of the mail server.

When I go to the user's folder, and try to delete his folder from there, it
tells me Cannot delete main.mbx. Access is denied. The source file may be in
use.

Suggestions? I need to delete his whole account and recreate it.

Thanks,
Sharyn
