Susan, I have not tried any compression approaches, but you may consider making a pass through users' accounts to empty there deleted items folders first. I have had users who use that folder as an archive, but anyone who does this would have a hard time blaming you for flushing it. I finally created limits because my users were wantonly wasting space by neglecting to maintain their own accounts. I am sure that is a common occurrence.

I will be sending out an email to warn my users that I'm going remove the old mail from their inboxes when school is out, but in the meantime I'm worried that it will completely run out and lock up. I have never tried compressing the files on this disk afraid it might interfere with Imail. Has anyone done this? Does it interfere with anything?
