You can deploy a bastion host and use something like iPB
(http://www.martekware.com) to keep your list of acceptable addresses up to

Subject: [IMail Forum] POP3 dictionary attack

In IMail Server Version 10.0; are there any Dictionary Attack Settings
for the POP3 and IMAP4 services?

I can only find settings for the SMTP service.
