It is not DNS because I see the rejection in the IMAIL logs. The rejection is a 550 invalid user not a domain not found.

Sounds like a DNS TTL/Update issue to me. What are you turning the TTL down to before you migrate the mail over? Or if it is a new domain, which registrar are you using? We are running Imail 8.22 Using MS SQL Database. Lately - whenever we add a new domain to the server it takes a long time before Imail will recognize the domain. Mail sent locally on the server will be received by the user but email sent from remote servers will get bounced with invalid user, the users can login just fine. Stopping and restarting SMTP and the SQL server does not help. I have checked the registry keys and they seem fine. After serveral days it all of a sudden seems to recognize the users and starts delivering mail. Anyone have any ideas? Chuck Schick Warp 8, Inc.
