Well, a round-about way might be to install NDS for NT on the iMail server,
then have iMail get it's user account information from the NT user database.
No guarantees, but maybe. Novell has a product that has most of the
features of iMail, called Novell Internet Messaging Server (NIMS). It's an
offshoot of the now defuct Novonyx project, but everything I've heard about
it is pretty positive. Compared to iMail, it has two drawbacks -- no list
server (although the one in iMail is pretty poor, and you cna fake NIMS into
doing something similar), and NIMS costs about $20 per mailbox. Novell does
have special pricing for ISP's. On the plus side, NIMS integrates with NDS,
has decent anti-spam features, and Novell group objects are treated as
distribution lists.
