Do lookups, pings, traceroutes, test msgs to the address in the SOA record 
on the servers that are failing you.

Another reason, sometimes seen in you log, is that the other server does a 
reverse look up on your MX and if it doesn't resolve, the other machine may 
not accept mail from yours.
