My main consideration for using Imail (or any other similar package) was
cost. For less than $1000.00 I can provide e-mail for the whole company and
run it on my main file/print server. I would have preferred Notes or
Exchange for the collaboration features, security (at least in house), and
so they would have an integrated user listing. BUT, I would have to have a
separate server on top of the much higher cost of the software and client
licenses. It's all a matter of what you need and how much you can spend.
Imail has worked great for us with the exception of LDAP and Outlook
integration. That really isn't that big a deal for me.

I am proposing the use of Imail to replace Notes at my company. Some of
the posts here tend to make me wonder if I should reconsider. I am
speaking in particular of the posts about people not being to retrieve
their messages with Outlook. I need to know how widespread this problem
is and if it is version specific.
One of the largest hemorrhoids in the users here tends to address email
to dozens of people at a time. I noticed the post that seemed to link
the problem to long address lines. Would multiple addressing be
considered long address?
Any other "Gotchas" I should know about before making the final
decission to switch?
