I ended up using bnbform v4.0 from bignosebird.com to do my forms.  It is a
perl script and not an asp, but it does do a socket based smtp connection to
my mail server (so it isn't dependant on an e-mail client program.  It works
well, and is free.

Outside of IMAIL we are using
http://www.michianatoday.com/ivanh/possibil.htm
NTMAILER whereas you point to the mail server in the script and it works
fine..
