We are working on a suite of Cold Fusion routines to handle administration chores. W
have looked at several options, and believe
that the most complete administration support would be achieved by using CF to write
directly to the registry. All values are
straightforward, except passwords. They are encoded.
The encoding scheme appears to be fairly simple. It is clear that there is a mod5
element involved as well as some basic value
shifting. It is probably only a couple of hours of work to hack it all out, but if I
can avoid spending the time I would prefer to.
Has anyone determined the encoding scheme used to store passwords?
Thanks.
