Hello! I'm trying to set up a mailing list and would like it to behave just like the ipswitch discusion groups whereby you need to respond to a confirmation email to subscribe/unsubscribe to a list. I've managed to set it all up and everything seems to work just fine except for one thing! When I use my IMail web messaging account to join my list via a website which sends a confirmation email (just like the ipswitch ones work) I keep getting an "illegal command" error when I send back the confirmation email. The reason it's happening is because (I think) of the "reply message original message indicator" which is included in the reply. So the "subscribe/unsubscribe command in the reply is prefixed with a ">" character. If I go and turn this feature off in the web messaging Options screen everything works fine. I would have thought this was just a limitation of the system until I noticed that when I joined this list using the same procedure described above it worked! (with the original message indicator ">" prefixing the "subscribe" command!!) Does anyone know how I can make this work for my mailing list??? Thanks a million! -Brian Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
