I finally figured this lil monster out. The problem was that the first
line of the headers is different between the two mail servers. I ended
up doing a string replacement on the first line of the netscape header
to replace the string "Return-Path:" with the string "From" This
converts everything almost perfectly, but the drawback is that the date
the mail is sent is lost. I'm sure if someone REALLY wanted, they could
write a utility to pull the date out of the headers and throw that on
the first line too, but it's too much of a headache for me. Hope this
info makes it to the knowledge base, because it will save a lot of time
and headaches. Hope this info helps others too!

Subject: [IMail Forum] Netscape Mail Import

I am trying to write a utility to import mail from Netscape Mail Server
v1.1 (yeah...I know this should have been thrown out about 4 years ago.)
I have everything working except for actually writing the main.mbx file.
No matter what I do, it keeps coming into the mailbox as one large piece
of mail instead of several items. I have tried using both one and 2
carriage return lne feeds between mail items with no success. Has
anyone actually been able to get this to work? Thank you,
