John, hate to tell you this, but it sounds like that CGI script is
written to work with SendMail on a Unix/Linux server. Too bad the script
didn't just ask for a SMTP server, in which case you could have just
provided an IP number.

If you're running ColdFusion, we've got a really slick form-to-mail
template you could use. There are some other solutions out there for
ASP... check out http://www.serverobjects.com.
