Ok, Jim, since no one else has jumped in, I'll try a bit. I don't know why
your interesting match blocks attachments, but to be more specific in the
rule to catch a single word, include a space before, after, or on both sides
of the word you want to trigger the rule. Your rule as it stands would catch
any words which contain the letters "cum", which I think is the essence of
your problem. Here, I've gotten into trouble trying to block IP addresses,
since IMail considers the "dot" to be a wildcard. After consulting the
syntax table on page 75, I guess I'm going to have to find another way to
block those messages. Usually, before I set a rule to :NUL, I send it to my
spambox for a while to check I'm catching only what I want to, and not
innocent bystanders.

I posted earlier today about a problem
where it seems our rules.ima file had
something in it that prevented almost all
emails with attachments to be sent to NUL.
As our rules.ima file is small I created
a blank file and started adding the lines
back in one at a time. Between each line
added I would send an email with a large
attachment. I finally isolated our problem
to one line:
B~cum:NUL
Take this line out and all works fine here.
Put it back in and our domain gets no file
attachments. Can anyone say why? I
don't understand it but I believe it after
sending mail to test it for the last 2 hours.
