The requirements for it work are very simple, so go over these carefully:
1. the relayed domain must NOT exist as an Imail domain.
2. NT hosts file:
ip.add.re.ss relayedomain.com
3. DNS must have MX records for the relayed domain pointing at imail
hostname so incoming mail arrives at Imail.
4. The relayed domains must have their outgoing mail gateway address
pointed at Imail.
5. Imail must NOT have its "send all mail by remote gateway" checked,
because this also short circuits the relayed mail to the same gateway.
( I've asked Ipswitch to de-couple the Imail-gateway routing from the
Imail-relay routing. These are two completely different traffic streams,
one is "locally posted outgoing mail" and the other is "remotely posted
relayed mail". )
