refuse null senders is unchecked

There is a fire wall and a virus scan software on port 25

Here is all I could get out of the person on sending us email:
Your document: Re: Please click replay and see if the message goes through
was not delivered to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
because: Error transferring to HOWARD-EDWARDS.COM; SMTP Protocol Returned
a Permanent Error 553 Requested action not taken: mailbox name not allowed

He received my message but is unable to send it back to me
I was hoping someone on the forum encounter this kind of problem before.

He also told me that his mail server forwards all messages to central server
in Japan and then from Japan they are send to their final destination.

I'm almost 100% sure that the problem is somewhere on their end because I
have no entries in my logs and he gets the error message just a few seconds
after he click send.
But he's a customer and I can't tell him that he doesn't know what his
doing. I didn't work with Imail long enough to consider myself an expert so
I want to ask people who have more experience.
TIA
