Hello Everyone,
My name is Marcin Zastawny, I administer a small NT Server with IMAIL6
running on it.
Up till now I used WinNT4 Server, but because of DNS problems, I upgraded to
Win2000 Server.
After installing IMAIL, I have noticed a really strange problem:
1) A POP3 user when sending mail will cause the following:
SMTP32.EXE Application Error:
The instruction at "some address xxx" referenced memory at "some address
xxx". Memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.
The mail message however goes through.
2) A Web Mail user when sending mail will first cause a IMAIL1.EXE
Application Error (with similar message as above) and then the SMTP32.EXE
error as well.
Because IMAIL1.EXE hangs waiting for the OK click, the message will not go
through.
What is the cause of this?
I have removed Microsoft's SMTP Service, I have also set the permissions on
the IMAIL directories to FULL for SYSTEM and EVERYONE users.
What else could be wrong?
thanks,
Marcin
