Can you still ping the server?  If yes, then I don't have a clue.  If no, have a look at the MS KB article below.

Ok here is what I want to do, I want to set up my IMail server to periodically dial the internet and send all mail qued for the internet to send. I have this happening, and it works. Problem, everytime I connect to the internet (dynamic IP) all my intranet (Static IP) clients loose connection to my Imail server. My imail server is also my internal DNS server.
 
I don't exactly know why this is happening but it is a slight problem. I know that Imail prefers a dedicated connection to the internet but they do claim to be able to use a Dial on Demand system.
