We do this on several web sites - I use a seperate ASP to populate the external IMail
user database. Works good. I don't think one needs to purchase a product for this,
Just a little ASP programming, IIS4 and IMail. I haven't tried this with an MS-Access
table, just MS-SQL 6.5 and 7.0. The problem with Access is that you depend on the ODBC
driver for dealing with transactions - it can't, it just stacks up sessions. SQL
server is made for this, it uses ODBC as well, but just to send SQL to the server. The
server handles all the transactional processing (and quite well). If this is going to
be a high traffic site, SQL is a must.
