Got not solution for pgm alias mess but...
If you can't get this pgm alias fixed today (mid afternoon UK time now),
then here's a fallback:
Install a telnet daemon on Imail machine so you can launch/stop VNC from
the NT command line.
Make sure you take a telnet emulator with you on holiday!! The one in NT
from Hilgreave apparently only works into serial port, not over tcp/ip
stack, afaics.
This telnet seems ok for NT: www.fictional.net
btw, the telnet backdoor is also good even if you get the pgm alias to
work, because if Imail SMTP hangs while your on the Playa del Sol and you
can't send any mail to the alias, your pgm alias is a non-starter. But
telnet can get you in 1) to kick Imail and 2) run VNC.
