Scott,

You don't have to add it to the HOSTS.TXT file unless you want IMail to
resolve to this file before using DNS to resolve.  I have my DNS setup and
Host Alias without using the HOSTS.TXT file and it works fine.

Two warnings here:

This doesn't always work; you need to double-check that this worked.  I
believe that the limitations are that it only applies to current users (not
ones that you create in the future), and that the user must have an
activated account (IE, they have logged on at least once or received an
E-mail, so their directory structure has been created).

The warning about this is that the docs (p26) say that you have to add that
name to your HOSTS.TXT file (WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC).  Not sure why it
needs that, though.
