The templates from hksi.net now have a feature to do exactly what you are
asking. Right now we are changing "Main" to "Inbox" but there should be no
reason that you could not change it to something else.

As for going right to the menu page, see the templates also.

I don't believe there is a way to do that, unfortunately.  If you only use
web messaging, you could try using JavaScript to "translate" the names (when
loading a page, look for the references to "Main", and change them; then,
when submitting a form or using a link, change it back).  We gave that some
thought here, but figured it wasn't worth it for us.

Yes, but I can't tell you how.  For some reason, one of my test machines
would always go to a welcome page, but our live machine doesn't.  Maybe just
getting rid of the welcome/news message(s)?
