Frank,
Here is my advice. Go to your spool directory (C:\IMAIL\SPOOL). Look for one of
those local E-mails that hasn't been delivered after a long time.
First, take a look at the file in Notepad. Take a quick look at the headers to
see if anything looks unusual (for example, lots of Received: lines could indicate a
mail loop).
Next, search through your log files for the filename minus the first letter and
without the extention. For example, if the file name is "Dab6d142.SMD" search the
logs for "ab6d142". Check the time/date around all the occurences. Look for error
messages, such as "MX connect fail".
If you aren't familiar with SMTP logs, or don't find anything, send the headers
and about 20 lines above/below each occurence of the filename to the mailing list.
