Frank,

Ok, I found the source of the confusion here. On page 22 of the Imail Server
manual v 6.0 under the "Directory Structure" is says:

"The Imail directory, usually c:\IMail, is "the top directory". You specify
this directory during the installation, and should _not_ ever move or change
this directory."

This is a true statement that has to do with the installation and not domain
configuration, however I would have not used the same description "Top
directory". I would call this the "Imail Root" directory. Reason being is
that farther on in the m manual we talk about a "Top Directory" for domains,
thereby creating the confusion. 2 different things being called the same
thing. I have brought this too the doc people and expect it will be changed
in the next version of the manual.

All that being said, either one can be changed as long as all the
ramifications are thought through. To answer your question, Changing the
"Top Directory" for a domain is rather simple once it is understood what is
going on. I think I explained what needs to be done and as long as all is
considered there shouldn't be a problem. Of course I would do a backup of
the directory structure and the registry before doing anything.

Cheers,
Eric S
