could anyone tell me that it is possible to setup ipswith email server in the redundancy environment, such as one T1 go down, another ipswitch email server on second T1 picks up?
There's nothing in Imail for this operation.
I could make some redundancy and fallback suggestions, if you provide some info, like are these 2 T1's coming into the same site?
If so, you could achieve incoming redundancy in DNS, for every domain hosted by one Imail machine:
mydomain.com. MX 10 imail.alan.com.
mydomain.com. MX 20 2ndmail.alan.com.
imail.alan.com. A ip.su.bn.t1
2ndmail.alan.com. A ip.su.bn.t2
mail comes in on t1 to imail. t1 goes down, so internet sends mail to 2ndmail over T2. 2ndmail is just a relay server (see http://IMGate.MEIway.com, you don't need a 2nd imail machine) that immediately relays to Imail, across the LAN.
For outgoing redundancy, Imail doesn't provide any outbound 'conditional' mail routing options but just sends mail out the NT tcp/ip stack which can have up to 5 default ip gatewys. I have no idea how that works in practice.
