Sure.
When you use www.abuse.net, it connects to the standard SMTP port (port 25). It
connects to Interscan VirusWall. VirusWall happily accepts the E-mail, as it doesn't
know it is spam. It sends it to IMail on port 6000. The reason you see your computer
talking to itself is because it IS talking to itself (VirusWall is using port 1402 to
talk to IMail on port 6000).
As to why IMail is accepting the E-mail, it should. You have told IMail to accept
E-mail coming from 193.132.78.*. IMail is getting a connection from 193.132.78.100,
which is within the range of IP addresses it allows.
In this setup, you can't use IMail to accept/reject mail based on IP address. Your
users know to connect to port 6000, so if they try spamming from a different IP
address at port 6000, they won't be able to. But port 25, VirusWall, is open to spam.
So, you need to figure out a way to get VirusWall to block based on IP address and/or
SMTP AUTH, which ain't going to be easy (it will need to know about all your IMail
users in order for SMTP AUTH to work).
Unfortunately, virus scanning of E-mail isn't a mature technology yet.
