I am new to the concept of an ODBC Database for keeping client logon information and I think I like it. Could anyone tell me if an OBDC DSN Connection to a SQL database adds another user to the current CAL count for the DB? In other words, if I have a 25 Client BackOffice License with includes a SQL CAL each and have 26+ users trying to log in at one time for email is it going to work right or will they be refused? The way Microsoft does the Internet CAL thing now wondering about these things. I don't know yet if a DSN will only use all accounts as one DSN? My other question is would I be nearly as well off to use Access 97 or 2000 as my ODBC DSN? I figure that larger ISP's with several thousand users would definitely need SQL for the speed. But if I am expecting to host no more that 1000 domains anytime soon, with each domain having typically 5 to 10 email addresses each, would I really need to run SQL for this?
