What
are the .SMD files in the spool directory? Many of them are dated back in
1999/1998. Can any of the .SMD's be deleted?

Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Clustering and fail overHas anyone clustered Imail with anything other than NT?? what product did you use?? I'd like to load balance between two servers and or at least have a second server be a live fail over.
You'd have to have a hot mirror to completely duplicate an Imail machine, this is usually an expensive proposition.
Imail peering only supports incoming SMTP mail.
For fail-over of incoming mail (accept incoming when Imail is down), you can do this for free with IMgate, plus you pick up the MAPS and DNS validation of sending serves. IMGate would hold the incoming until you got your Imail back up.
IMGate also gives you load balancing by off loading all incoming and outgoing SMTP traffic from Imail to IMGate, with Imail dedicated to POP3/IMAP server, SMTP AUTH of local accounts' sending mail, and web messaging.
