Has anyone heard or read any reviews on the telnet alternative ssh?

yeah, sure.

I haven't done to much research into it yet but got an email from my brother to do so ASAP.

nice brother you got there.  vbg

Apparently, it is a lot more secure and doesnt reveal sensitive info like passwords and such.

it "secure shell" dialogs are encrypted sessions vs non-ssh telnet which is sniffable cleartext.

The site I am checking into right now is http://www.freebsddiary.org/openssh.html. If any of y'all get a chance, check it out and let me know what the verdict is. Thanks.

You would install openssh on your IMGate machines, highly recommended, and then use ssh versions of telnet emulators.  I've got a whole list of ssh telnet emulator and servers, contact me off list.
