Q. Server side or client side?
Could you send the reply as HTML or with HTML code for a counter or use
some form of incremented counter on either end.
Imail has an auto responder with limitations as note.
Outlook and Outlook Express have autoresponders built in. As I see it
all depends on how fancy you want to get and how soon you want the response
generated. Server side would send a response immediately where as client
side would not respond until the use pulled their mail via POP3.
From the sales men and business sites we've worked with they seem to
prefer the immediacy of server side, even if they won't receive Friday's
messages till Monday.
