Afternoon all..
We are currently running IMail 5.09 on NT4.0 on an Compaq Proliant 5500;
Intel Xeon 400mhz
512Mb Ram
50GB Raid 5 SCSI array..
We have about 3000 users happily using the web based service or client based
e-mail pop3 applications (Outlook/Express/Eudora etc..) which IMail offers
and have had no problems with server resources using the above spec.
However, what sort of spec will one need for, say 100,000 to 150,000 users,
with heavy, constant utilization of IMail services? (quad processor, 1gb
mem disk space???)
Does anyone have any experience of using IMail under these conditions or
indeed any advise on the sort of spec we should be looking to implement to
support such numbers, multiple servers perhaps, does IMail support
replication?......
TIA..
