Daniel,
Thanks for your response. To answer a few of your questions:
1. I checked the SMTP32 processes and they come and quickly. I didn't change
these setting and no more then three come up at once.
2. The POP3d32 and WEBMSG service use the most memory. They would get up to
about 70MB each before I started re-setting then every night.

I did notice something interesting. The SMTP service was set to Log on as
another account. The manual says this service must log on as the system
account if one of your hosts uses the NT DB. We do have a host using the NT
DB. I'm going to change this and reboot tomorrow morning.

I'm also installing 6.0 on a test machine.

Thanks,
Scott

Scott,

There is no guarantee that the upgrade will 'fix' your problem. But to get
continued phone support, you need to be at the current version.

Since this is not a known problem in IMail (memory leak in one or more
services), I would have to say that there is something about your system
that is contributing to the leak. Could be lots of things, but for IMail,
you should collect your complete configuration data and provide it to
support. Ask for an 'IMail Worksheet', and fill it out. Check your event
logs and resolve ALL warnings and errors. Check and defrag your hard disks.

Run Task Manager and observe the number of SMTP32 processes at various
times. There can be as few as none, and as many as 30 (default, if you have
not changed this, did you?), but each should come and go in a reasonable
time (simple msg to local user in a few seconds or less, msg to multiple
outside addresses, with attachments, could take several to a dozen or more
minutes).

Does Task Manager show one particular process or program using up memory?

The suggestion to turn off logging, is one that will normally reduce the
load on the server and should show some positive results (extending the time
between reaching a particular memory usage point). If it does not, then that
would imply, that the logging service (which you could also turn off!) is
not one possible cause of the memory leak. Turn off all unneeded services
(IMAP, LDAP, Logging, Web MSG, etc) to see what effects it has on the
system.
