It doesn't work like that, unless you use NT to "meld" your new disk space
into your current disks volume. ie, an NT volume that "spans disks". I did
this once long time ago, "you could look it up".
Easier would be to just add the new disk and move the mail domains from the
current disk to the new disk. This has the advantage of using the first
disk for Imail's very busy spool directory, and the second disk for the
mailbox storage. Having two disk channels allows Imails very heavily
mulitasking processes to overlap access to both disk channels rather than
all Imail processes being blocked waiting for one channel to become free.
btw, you will obtain more throuphput if you put the 2nd drive on a 2nd
controller, say, use both IDE controller on the typical modern
motherboard. Run both disk drives as master, and disconnect the cdrom
drive as slave, since slave drives slow down IDE channels. You don't need
cdrom access for Imail. If you need cdrom, hook it up, use it, unhook it.
