I heard a little rumbling on the use of IMail as a list-server.
me, too.
While, we do use WebBoard as our discussion board and listserve, we have the need to just set up large groups of people - be it internal employees or external organizations (>100 users).
100 is not "large" for a list, too large for an Imail 'group'.
It appears in documentation that groups are limited to 50 users and that we would have to use listserves. Is this correct
yes
How does IMail handle those addresses that are not found to be correct (or have become incorrect by way of email address no longer being acceptable) in a list-serve database?
it doesn't, there's no bounce mgt (auto unsubscribe, etc) in the list server.
Lastly, we host two domains on our NMS mail server at the same IP address. How does IMail work?
well. I suppose a large majority of Imail domains are virtual, sharing an ip address.
We can supply another IP for the second domain if required.
yes
Does anyone have a support contract? If so, how helpful are the folks at tech support under conditions of having a support agreement?
I don't have a supp contract. I submit a few questions and pb's to support@ipswitch and get answers usually next day or so. This users' list is a much superior source of help.
