The objective is to migrate from NMS to IMail - since I cannot have passwords in clear text from NMS so I can pass all accounts to IMail and have the same host name and ip address on the new IMail server (this way users wouldn't have to change their email client settings) - having both servers running while users confirm the passwords of new accounts on the imail server (assuming I can pass them except the correct password) using the IMail's HTTP server and a phone call. This way, the load on the old NMS server (that's the problem with the NMS) would decrease while users would pacifically migrate from one server to another, changing only the server name on their email clients (or using the web interface from IMail). NMS doesn't accept traffic from the IMail server, even with the VRFY command enable on both servers. I have IMail with higher priority on DNS (lower MX value), sharing the same domain with NMS. So all mail for @somedomain.com goes to Imail first, and then Imail will send some of the mail to NMS using the VFRY command.  What's your objective?  Imail's peering is "supposed" to share the load between servers of equal MX preference values. (I never have understood how relaying 1/2 of the incoming mail to another peered server is a lesser load that one unpeered server just delivering all mail to itself.)  Do you have the SMTP VRFY command enabled on both servers? Imail knows what Imail peering is.  Does NMS know what Imail peering is? What have you told your users to put as SMTP server for outgoing mail?  for POP3 server? Len
