Haha....my sentiments exactly. However, the solution we went with, Platypus,
isn't much better. It has become apparent that all of these billing solution
providers didn't have the ISP's day to day operations in mind when designing
their software. I could probably go on and complain for hours about this
topic but I guess I should just throw my too cents in about this thread. I
would be of the opinion that you would want to use the SQL connect ODBC
method of maintaining your 2500+ mailboxes for the simple fact that its most
likely not going to STAY 2500.(assuming RODOPI's backend is SQL) The whole
reason for having a robust billing solution(like Rodopi or Platypus) is to
simplify operations when adding or subtracting users. Platypus and Imail
integrate wonderfully(once you get through the hours of setup and teeth
grinding it takes to get it working the way you want). The only major gripe
I have with my current system is Plat's ODBCUSER.dll that they have custom
written, which looses its connection to my Imail machine. "Wildman's" or
whatever his name was DLL didnt work with Plat so I'm stuck waiting for
Boardtown to write one that reconnects. Anyway, having to manually
adduser.exe new accounts in or even writing a script to do it for you would
still be a pain in my a$$ and difficult to do any maintainence. So thats my
opinion anyway.
