Alfred,
This forum is for our IMail users to communicate with each other and Support
does not always respond. If you require help from Support, then contact them
via email (use the form on the site) or by phone (still in warranty or with
valid Service Agreement).
If you created the lists with complete addresses as the names, that is
incorrect as it should be the just the name portion. If you have one list
that works, the others should too, assuming you have all things set
similiarly. In the SMTP Security tab, you do need the 'Allow Remote mail to
local groups' enabled and if not, enable, then stop/start the SMTP service.
Aliases are just other names for which IMail will accept messages, and then
deliver to all addresses in its list. Forwarding is a method of redirecting
email sent to a user account to another alias or ultimatlely, another user
account.
Scotts mesage about Logs is also important, to help you see what IMail is
doing when it gets the message.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Support Team, Please help!!
I've created email aliases for the committee members in the Organisation.
One is called [EMAIL PROTECTED] and the other is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Abc
consists of around 20 members (ie 20 email addresses) whereas xyz consists
of around 15 members. I tried to send an email to these two aliases but the
message was not sent out. I did try to create one aliase consists of only
two email addresses and the mail was sent out successfully. Please explain.
Also what's the difference between email aliase and email forwarding?
Thank you and your prompt response is very much appreciated.
