In theory, I imagine that it might be possible to degrade performance a bit if you
have a ton of rules and a ton of incoming E-mail. But, given the small amount of time
it takes to load in the file (about the same for a 1-rule file as for a 50-rule file),
and to match strings, I doubt a single user could cause a problem. If you had lots of
users, each with lots of rules and lots of E-mail, it could be an issue. But I think
someone would have to specifically attempt to be malicious in order to cause real
performance degradation.

I am not aware of anyone doing that. However, you could write some JavaScript code
that would take care of that. It could be bypassed by a malicious person, but it is
unlikely someone would have the desire to bypass it.
