Ok, I got a stats program running on my main IMGate hub, mgw1.meiway.com,
through which I route all mail between Imail and Internet.
Just to show you how long a single SMTP client task can run to deliver a
msg to these highly congested mega-mail servers, here is an extract:
Host/Domain Summary: Message Delivery
sent cnt bytes defers avg dly max dly host/domain
-------- ------- ------- ------- ------- -----------
20 4483k 0 9.6 s 51.0 s wanadoo.fr
6 1519k 1 3.2 m 18.6 m yahoo.fr
4 1315k 1 5.8 m 22.2 m yahoo.com
4 1315k 0 24.8 s 1.2 m worldnet.fr
avg and max delays in sec or min to deliver a msg, from mgw1.meiway.com in
Paris, Fr.
Wanadoo is France Telecom's ISP. Worldnet is a big French ISP.
