Grant,
With that Relay setting, your email client MUST have its 'return address'
set to a domain name that IMail 'knows'. If you are worried about the relay
settings affecting the situation, then set to Anyone, stop/start SMTP
service and see if you can now send. If that does change the results, then
issue is Relay settings and Client settings. But you have not shown any
error message from the client or in the server log, that would indicate this
is the problem.
What abou the things I and others have suggested? Answers to our questions
or resuts form a particular test, will help us determine if we are even on
the right track!
Yes, the Anyone Relay setting will open you to spam, but right now that is
not likely to be a big problem and you can revert back to your current
setting (which is not very spam proof anyway!), if the test does not change
the results.
