Alex,
This is typical response when one does not assign a unique 'Top Directory'
in each domain, when configuring IMail. If you already have lots of domains,
then the biggest challenge (after assigning new Top Dirs to each domain)
will be identifying all the individual user folders and moving them to the
correct new 'Top Dir'. It may be that one users folder already has mail for
a user of the same name, but in another domain. IMail will create a new
folder for any user if the folder does not already exist, but it will not
have any 'old' mail in it. You would be best served if you stopped all IMail
services before begining this process (so new mail is not put in the wrong
place!).
You may also have the IMail SMTP Security, Mail Relay set for 'Anyone' and
that would cause IMail to accept any and all email, regardless of the
destination. IMail could then parse the address and eventually ignore the
'@domain' part, and using just the 'username' find a user of that name and
drop the mail their. I'd suggest you set the Mail Relay for 'Addresses' and
enter the valid 'local' addresses (by groups is the best/quickest way to add
multiple addresses) in the address table.
